Cyan goes down alone, through a dungeon that gets colder and quieter the deeper it runs. This is a top-down crawler with no menus and no filler: you move with WASD or the arrow keys, you attack by walking into whatever is in your way, and you leave a room by pushing toward the edge of the screen.

The Shade timer runs the whole way. It does not pause while you plan, and it does not care how close you are. Rooms open onto the minimap as you find them, so the floors that look like mazes only stay mazes until you commit to walking them.

Enemies are labelled with their level, which is the only warning you get. A fight you can win at L2 will end you at L5. Spikes bite, water slows, and dropped food is your entire healing economy. Level up, raise your HP and ATK, and keep descending - Anne is not getting any closer on her own.
